Most of us have grown up with common talc products, like talcum powder, used in our homes, but recent studies continue to cast serious doubts about the safety of talc.

Talc is a mineral produced by the mining of talc rocks then processed by crushing, drying and milling. Processing eliminates a number of trace minerals from talc, but does not separate talc's minute fibres, which are structurally very similar to asbestos.

Is Talc Dangerous?

Various studies have raised serious concerns about this ingredient, which is used in many everyday cosmetics and household products, including baby powders. Talc particle formations are closely related to the potent carcinogen asbestos, and talc particles have been found in tumours in the ovaries and lungs of cancer victims. Please read labels and be careful about products containing talc. All Alexami products are Talc-free, and we will never use talc in any of our range.Say no to Talc.
